National Game Review Claims I-Force Award

San Jose, Ca - All eyes were shocked tonight as National Game Review claimed the award for best use of force feedback in a racing title, over Gremlin's Motorhead and Electronic Arts' Need For Speed 3. Although National Game Review wasn't specifically nominated for the award, or even marginally qualified for the category, we were at the awards ceremony, unlike anyone from Electronic Arts, the announced winner of the award. The cut crystal award, engraved with the words 'product excellence', was warmly received by all members of the NGR staff.

The anonymous National Game Review staffer who attended the party was incredibly surprised as he was handed the award, after simply telling the I-Force people he 'could' give it to Electronic Arts. Certainly our staff member could give the award to EA, but the more important factor unconsidered by I-Force was that our staff person never said he would give the award over to it's deserved recipients.

In his acceptance speech he was heard to say, "Yeah, we were kind of a long-shot for the nomination, but it was our grassroots fans that pulled it through for us. I'd have to say it's the proliferation of industry supporters that made something like this possible."

As the I-Force awards were obviously rigged, National Game Review is now holding the award for ransom. National Game Review will keep the award bolted down in our underground lair, until EA releases Thrill Kill for Playstation. If our demands are not met the award will meet hideous daily torture and we will eventually claim the award as our own. We regret that the prized trophy will not be able to sit on the desk of someone from the upper management of Electronic Arts, but until our demands are met we will not relent.
