Crazy weekend. We recorded at Engine on Saturday. Beautiful studio and the people there were great. It was a very cool experience. Dave has been working his ass off to get the mixing done. Chris, John and I joined him at the NBC tower to mix last night. We met up with Cory and Marnie at Q101 and did a radio interview on Local 101. It went really well. You can listen to it right here.

Now I have to do a video interview for my work with a guy dressed up as a giant, Chicago-style hot dog.

E-filed my taxes already. That's gotta be a personal record, because I need the money. hahaha. My ipod is finally dying, I think. It has had battery problems for a few years. It seemed to have an 8 hour battery life, but the battery meter was always inaccurate. Lately, I'm suspecting that it doesn't have an 8-hour lifespan. The newest issue is with the hard drive. When I sync the ipod, I watch the update process and it's now re-syncing over 50 songs that should already be on the ipod. So, hmmm, not good. Looks like it's time for Jeremy to get a 60 gig video ipod. Oh yeah.

Basically, having this car loan payment each month is driving me nuts. I've had to really crack down on my expenses so that I have a clear window for rent, gas, food and utilities. Airiel isn't going into the studio as soon as we'd thought, so that helps. I bought a plane ticket to Japan already. I've got to buy my JR pass next month. Spent a little extra to get my new passport expedited. (That reminds me. I've got to get my new driver's license.) Spent $200 last night to have my VOX AC-30's tubes replaced. The good things are that I'm getting my normal federal refund, my birthday is coming up and I'll also be getting a bonus since my company did well this year. After I kinda went over-board around x-mas time, I've been trying to repair my savings account and still be able to go out once in a while. Anyway, blah blah blah.

Again, I apologize for the lull. Let's see... since the last update, I took a few sick days because of a nasty chest cold. I received a new tea set for x-mas and I used it every day. Pots of green tea always make you feel better. So does Tussin DM! Wow, that's the best cough medicine ever made.

During my sickness, I got heavily into the Harry Potter books. I finished Chamber of Secrets on Tuesday afternoon (the 24th) and immediately started reading Prisoner of Azkaban. I finished Azkaban the next night at 11:30. Woo! Now that I'm better, I've been taking my time with Goblet of Fire. Granted, it's also about twice as long as Prisoner of Azkaban.

I also finished Metal Gear Solid 3. I liked the ending so much that I started playing it again right away. This time I managed to sneak up on The End and steal his camouflage. I rule.

Airiel is going into Engine next weekend to record a track for a 7" project that Julius from Walking Bicycles is putting out. We haven't decided what song we're going to do yet.

My job during the last month has been insanely busy. Dave took some time off and we had several new people starting and I had to scramble to get their computers ready. I was sweaty each day and exhausted when I got home. I hit the Jamesons pretty hard that whole week. Then I was out because I was sick and once I got back, Dave's aunt died, so I've been on my own again this week. Not only did we get 4 new people in the office, but we also got the new laptops and desktops we'd been desperately needing. The flat panel monitors with digital display are reeeally nice. Wish I could steal one for myself.

I can't wait to get back to Japan. I've been thinking about it every day. In case I didn't mention it, I'm leaving on March 30th and coming back on the 9th of April. Yuka and I are going to take the bullet train down to Kyoto again and stay for a couple nights. We'll stop by her parents place on the way home. We're also going to stay at a hotel with out very own hot spring for my birthday. YES!!
