Feeling: the kotatsu is burning my legs

Almost made it through March without an update. Lots happened. I temped at Getty for 3 weeks, which was rather weird. They hired me at my old position to do a new desktop/laptop rollout. It felt like I'd never left. I started working the moment I arrived and I got everything done on schedule. Felt good. Paychecks were also nice too. :)

Games stuff: Got another Xbox 360 replacement and finished Bioshock 2 both with the good and evil endings. I have to say, the evil ending did creeped me out this time. There's more of a direct involvement with Eleanor Lamb and it's pretty creepy watching her mimic your actions. Also played through God of War III twice now. As excited as I was, I can't help but think that my expectations were too high. The game is amazing, as all God of War games are, but this one felt like they didn't really do enough for the game play. It's OK to stick to a formula that works, but I honestly felt like the previous games were more involved and had harder combat. Most of the boss fights are formulaic and in the case of Hermes, it's a disappointing run of trial and error. There are epic moments like your fight with Poseidon in the beginning and also your fight with Cronos but the rest of it just kind of falls flat. I found myself only using 2 of the 4 weapons and didn't bother with magic at all that much. I have to say that the ending was a major disappointment too. Zeus goes down like a little bitch and the ending for Kratos feels like a cop-out. There's wiggle room for a sequel but I'm not sure if I'm interested this time. Alas.

Kaito: Kaito is now 4 months old and has started getting really fussy. Usually in the evenings but sometimes during the day time as well. He grunts a lot like he's trying to poop or something and he screams like crazy when he can't calm down and go to sleep. Must be difficult to have a nervous system that is still being developed. Granted, he laughs and smiles and babbles all the time now. He can also roll over, if he tries hard enough. We got him a cute little jungle mat thing that has lots of hanging toys for him to grab. He's getting better at that. He can also stand up a little on his own if you support his waist, so we bough one of those hanging bouncer chairs that are supposed to develop your child's leg muscles. Put him in it twice and he screamed both times. We'll wait until he's a bit taller. We goes in for his checkup today along with more injections. That'll be fun, I'm sure.

The weather has started to improve and I'm thinking about going to get my Vespa out of winter storage. Chase, Airiel's new bass player has a really nice Vespa All-state that's in working order. Chris might get one as well. I'm sure Andrew will feel the pressure and opt for one also. Imagine a US shoegaze band that all rides Vespas. Dorky.

I'm turning 33 on April 7th. We're supposed to have a BBQ on Saturday but Yuka and I are worried about how Kaito will do. He doesn't even like it when I talk loudly, so I can't imagine how he'll be with a house full of drunk people eating burgers. My parents are supposed to come up, so that might help. Might have to take BJ's advice and let Kaito sip beer off of my finger tip until he passes out. Just kidding, sort of.

Before I met you, my heart was a crap taco.
